If you’re troubleshooting your domain or want to double-check your DNS setup, it’s helpful to view the public DNS records for your domain - these are the records that the internet currently sees and uses to load your website, send email, and more.
This guide will show you how to check using free online tools.
Check Which Nameservers You Are Using
Nameservers control which DNS system is managing your domain. If you’re unsure whether your domain is using AeroWave Hosting’s system or another provider’s, this is the first thing to confirm.
To check your nameservers:

Go to whois.domaintools.com

Enter your domain name (e.g. aerowavehosting.io)

Look for the Name Server section
If your domain is using AeroWave’s DNS system, you should see:
ns1.aerowavehosting.io
ns2.aerowavehosting.io
ns3.aerowavehosting.io
ns4.aerowavehosting.io
If you see other nameservers (for example, from your domain registrar or a third party like Cloudflare), your DNS records are being managed elsewhere.
View Your Public DNS Records
Once you know which DNS provider you are using, you can view the actual records that are currently visible online. These include A records (website), MX records (email), CNAMEs, TXT records (like SPF or domain verification), and more.
To view your records:

Go to dnschecker.org

Enter your domain name

Choose the type of record you want to view (A, MX, TXT, etc.) from the dropdown

Click “Search”
You’ll see a list of results from DNS servers around the world. This shows what people in different regions would see if they visited your website or sent you an email.
This tool is especially helpful after making changes, to check if everything has finished updating (a process known as DNS propagation).
Check Email-Specific DNS Records
If you’re having trouble sending or receiving email, it’s a good idea to check your email-related DNS records. These typically include:

MX records – direct email to your provider

SPF records – help prevent spam by verifying sender IPs

DKIM and DMARC – add extra layers of email security and authenticity
To check email DNS records:

Visit mxtoolbox.com

Enter your domain

Use the tools like “MX Lookup”, “SPF Record Lookup”, or “DKIM Lookup” to see what’s currently in place

You can also use the general “DNS Lookup” tool to view all public records at once
