DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) is an email authentication method that adds a digital signature to your outgoing emails. This signature proves to receiving mail servers that the email truly came from your domain and hasn’t been altered in transit. Setting up DKIM improves your email’s trustworthiness and helps prevent your messages from being marked as spam.
1. What Is DKIM And Why Is It Important?
DKIM uses a pair of cryptographic keys: a private key that signs your emails when they are sent, and a public key published in your DNS records that receiving servers use to verify the signature.
Without DKIM, your emails may be more likely to land in spam or be rejected.
2. How To Find Or Generate Your DKIM Record
If you’re using AeroWave email services, we provide the DKIM keys and records you need via your portal.
If you are using another provider, we recommend reaching out to their support team who should be able to walk you through where to find them.
3. How To Add Your DKIM Record To Your DNS
AeroWave Hosting

Log in to your AeroWave dashboard.

Go to Domains and select your domain.

Choose Manage DNS or DNS Settings.

Select DKIM and Add Your Signature

Save changes.
GoDaddy
-
Sign in to your GoDaddy account.

Click My Products and find your domain.

Click DNS next to your domain.

Scroll to Records and click Add.

Select TXT as the type.

Enter the DKIM selector as the host (provided by AeroWave).

Paste the DKIM public key into the Value field.

Save the record.
Cloudflare

Log in to Cloudflare and select your domain.

Click the DNS tab.

Click Add Record.

Choose TXT for type.

For Name, enter the DKIM selector (from AeroWave).

Paste the DKIM public key into Content.
-
Save.
4. Wait For DNS Propagation
DNS changes can take a few minutes up to 48 hours to take effect. Once updated, receiving servers will be able to verify your emails with DKIM.
